The Ballarat Society of Artists Inc was formed in 1982 and currently has a membership of approximately seventy artists.

In 2022, BSA celebrated forty years of membership involving the Ballarat Community and surrounding districts.

 The Ballarat Society of Artists inc, has stood the test of time by adopting new innovative ideas, also opportunities and we are welcoming new members who wish to become a part of a vibrant community. The society is a voluntary organization of members who perform duties which include monthly meetings which are resided by a committee. The society also primarily promotes various events that are happening in the area.

Some of these events are:

Ballarat Begonia Festival with artists participating in the three day event.
The Society's Annual Art Show currently held at the Robert Clark Centre located in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens on Easter Weekend
Exhibiting at the Wendouree Museum
Exhibits have been held the Mercure Convention Centre.
The Benefits that members enjoy are opportunities to be involved in Saturday Art Painting which is conducted through the winter months.
Monthly competitions which are held at our meetings, (the theme is selected by the members and is always an interesting event).
The opportunity to liaise with like minded people and enjoy learning new techniques is a lot of fun and everyone benefits from these meetings.
